Peterbilt has unveiled a new version of its Peterbilt Model 579 flagship truck that offers a 7% fuel economy improvement compared with the current 579 truck.
The new Peterbilt 579 interior model is designed to be more quieter in the cab (by 10%) and it comes with various technology upgrades and assistant systems such as: driver configurable digital dashboard cluster, lane keeping assist and lane departure warning.
The Model 579 truck is available for order in many configurations which include: a day cab version, an integral 80 inch Peterbilt 579 UltraLoft sleeper and a variety of other 579 sleeper sizes.
The sleeper cab in the Peterbilt 579 UltraLoft model features an impressive 70 cubic feet of space and an 8 foot high ceiling. The cabin also has space for small appliances like a 1.1 cubic foot microwave, a 32" LED TV, a tall wardrobe closet, multiple power outlets (including USB). In the new Peterbilt 579 UltraLoft cabin you can also order an optional bunk bed with a fold away ladder.
Other small extras like a fixed cup holder and the option for multiple USB charging ports are intended to make driver's life more comfortable.
Multiple windows in the cab offer natural light and extra ventilation, while at night interior lighting comes from dome LED lights and three directional spot reading lights. New sound insulation technology helps minimize outside noise for a quieter cabin, both on and off the road.
The 15 inch digital display in the new 2021 Peterbilt 579 features a fully customizable user interface for a broad combination of digital gauges viewable on the main screen.
