Siembieda - 1959 GMC Truck DF 860

1959 GMC DF 860. Detroit 6-71 diesel with 10 speed Roadranger. Also known as a "Cannonball" . I bought it from the family of the late Bill Hayes in Illinois. He and his wife were in the Windy City chapter. I removed the 5th wheel and added a flatbed , also put a Jake brake on it and help paint it with a friends expert help. It runs excellent and has won in several shows. People really like the looks and noise it puts out. I remember these type trucks growing up in the Los Angeles area as a kid in the 1960's. When something breaks I just tear into it as there is no one close by but it is an excellently designed truck and repairs have been easy so far. It has about 9000 miles since a rebuild.
